The Fox and The Star

Fox forgot to ask for orange thread to sew the proof book together but he is back in Italy with one final chance to ask for the dream thread. The actual books are being printed as I type so Fox is there making sure his orange coat is consistent and that the ink behaves itself and goes down in the correct order. Meanwhile here is a sneak peak of a few spreads from the book. GO FOX!

The Fox and The Star is a fable about need and loss, here is a short summary: Once there was a Fox who lived in a deep, dense forest. For as long as Fox could remember, his only friend had been Star, who lit the forest paths every night. But then one night Star wasn't there, and Fox had to face the forest all alone.

It is a picture book for young and old, beautifully printed and bound in cloth, a celebration of the physical book. Published on 27th August by Particular Books, an imprint of Penguin Books. The story is inspired by my life experiences, and as you would expect the design inside and out harks back to the world of Victorian book design.

It is available to pre-order on amazon.co.uk and amazon.com
