Fresh cover design for a series of ten classic horror books by masters of the genre. The use of bold graphic elements and a two-tone palette reference Romek Marber’s iconic 1960s crime fiction covers. I used a cyanotype process to create the ethereal texture and indistinct lines ideal for these ghostly tales, complemented by the choice of uncoated stock. The simple, understated type and blue/yellow palette defy genre convention without sacrificing visual impact.
